Hockey spinsters??

Someone said to me today that my friend and I (admittedly both single, not-so-young-anymore women) sounded like spinsters today because we were talking about hockey.

Now I could understand if we were talking about say, cats or knitting... but we were talking about hockey. Is that something bitter single old ladies talk about?

I will admit to some bitterness and disbelief in the conversation... the kind you get when someone breaks your heart even... but I hardly thinks it makes us spinsters.

more bits

OK, I think I am past the mourning now and summer can truly begin. I had my one last cheer 'til I was hoarse moment at the rally downtown and now I really am ready to move on. Really. I am. Well, after obsessing a bit more. Then I'm done. I may buy the Weekly Hockey News for the rest of my life but there are season tickets in the offing so it's best to stay informed!

~~~~~~~~~~
Helping with that is the news that some of my favourite people coming into town next week (people I thought I wouldn't see til at least September but now I'll see them twice before then and for the best little festival in the badlands too!!) AND their presence also means I get to go to a couple of rocking good shows to see a band I've wanted to see for a long time... maybe even with backstage passes! Woohoo! It's all very exciting. And a happy reunion to boot! Long days and longer nights... starting right about now.
~~~~~~~~~~

Got asked out last night. It was odd and I am not actually going but it's been so long since I've been asked at all that I thought I'd tell everyone. It's nice 'cause I've actually been feeling pretty cute lately. Re-enforcement is good.

Dancing tomorrow. After the first big TV shoot. Have I mentioned how I love black t-shirts and tools on belts... ?

lights...camera...action...

So we have a film crew in my theatre right now. All this week. TV is a buzz I don't experience often enough. I sometimes forget how very different it is from a live perfromance. So the vibe in here is kinda neat right now. I like it.

AND....Lots of black-shirted tech types - cameramen and the like.

Anyone who knows me will understand how happy this makes me.

one last hurrah.

Well that sucks. It was one of those days where you wake up hoping last night hasn't happened yet but alas....

Regardless of the outcome - It was a fantastic ride! Thanks and pride go out to the boys in blue and copper. You took this city further than we ever expected. See ya back in it next year!
