SWEET! My happiness overfloweth.

If I closed my eyes real tight, clicked my heels together three times and wished for it, it might look a little like this! My favorite wee festival in the west has once again conjured a near perfect line-up of made-for-the-hoodoos entertainment.

That's a woohoo in the hoodoos people! Get yer tickets before they're gone!

Looking forward to airport reunions, our very own on-site coffee perk, zucchini sticks, ghosts, sad songs and dancing under the stars, tequila, pinatas and perhaps a round of disc golf (who am I kidding, there's never time for the disc golf - I need to go for a week!)

shh.... cross your fingers for no rain.

Apparently there actually was a cure for what ailed me.

I had no idea how thick the fog was until it began to lift. No idea how heavy the shackles were until they were taken off. I had no idea just how much it felt like I was fighting through something ALL THE TIME until I no longer had to fight. I had no concept of the fact that I no longer knew what it felt like to actually wake up in the morning.

It's the weirdest thing.

Part of me is asking why the hell I didn't deal with this sooner; most of me is just grateful that it was fixable, finally, and in a relatively painless way.

Go Oilers!

Ok I have to acknowledge something here in print.

I care an awful lot about hockey right now. Oh boy do I! I love the buzz of this city. I love the horns and the whoohoos and the high fives from strangers and the impromptu parades of flag-draped cars up and down Jasper. I now know more about guys named Pisani and Pronger and Peca and Roloson than I have known about hockey players since I was a kid and had every book on Gretzky's Oilers and, later, Roy's Canadiennes (I know - I was fickle). But now I'm back to the first team to ever capture my heart and they have it again - wrapped in Copper and blue. I have to go buy a car flag now.

GO OILERS!
